Magne-Traction involves magnetizing the driving wheels of Lionel locomotives to give them tremendously increased drawbar pull. They can take curves at high speeds, pull longer loads and climb steeper grades. Permanent Alnico magnets are used in the axles or in the locomotive frame to achieve this. 

Over time the magnetic force can diminish. Because we own the original Magnet Charger that was used in the factory to originally charge the magnets, we can bring your locomotive back to the factory specs by recharging the Magne-Traction magnets back to full power.
